Vertical Greening for Built Environments

Green walls allow planting to be introduced onto vertical surfaces such as facades, boundary walls, feature walls, interior or outdoor built spaces.

They can be used as decorative landscape features, cooling elements, or integrated greenery within a wider landscape design. Depending on the project, the green wall may be developed using modular panels, planting pockets, planter-based arrangements, trellis support, or other suitable vertical greening approaches.

Pullman Hotel Singapore

An 828 m² green wall was implemented across Pullman Hotel’s facade to soften the building’s architectural form. Rotating panels and dedicated maintenance platforms were incorporated to allow for safe and efficient upkeep at each level.

BCA Academy

Completed by Plantwerkz as a Design & Build project for BCA Academy, this green wall uses climbers supported on stainless steel cables to connect the terrace gardens from the 3rd to 7th storey. The vertical greenery adds depth, texture, and a natural finish to the building’s architecture.
