Gold – Green Wall

Located in the cultural heart of Singapore, Pullman Singapore Hill Street exemplifies the seamless integration of nature within a contemporary urban setting. Despite its compact site of 3,691.8 m², the hotel’s landscape design is rooted in biophilic principles, dedicating over 45% of the area to softscapes. A standout feature is the 828 m² of vertical green walls, which not only soften the building’s façade but also help mitigate the urban heat island effect and enhance the local microclimate. These living walls are ingeniously engineered with rotating panels and dedicated maintenance platforms at each level, ensuring safe and efficient upkeep in the absence of conventional high-rise maintenance access or machinery.

1st Storey Drop Off Green Wall

A welcoming view of vertical greenery combined with aluminum panels in different shade of grey at 1st Storey Drop-off. Low light tolerant plant species were selected – Xiphidium caeruleum and Philodendron scandens that thrive at  indoor condition with limited sunlight.

3rd to 13th Storey

Two 36-meters high green walls were installed to soften the façade of the two towers from 3rd to 15th storey using modular pots system. The green walls installed to contribute to LRAs.

These green walls were designed with rotating panels and maintenance platforms at each level for safe and easy maintenance, as there is no access for high-rise maintenance equipment.

Lower Roof – Green Wall

Vertical green walls were provided at Lower Roof as well, as part of the key feature of the overall design’s 828 m² vertical greenery, which helps to screen off M&E facilities.
