Located along West Coast Road, Commonwealth Secondary School sits within a campus of over 3,500m² of landscaped grounds.
In response to the school’s focus on environmental education, rainforest and wetland green pockets were introduced between school blocks, transforming under-utilised spaces into naturalised environments for everyday engagement with nature. These spaces recreate outdoor settings where students can reconnect with flora and fauna within a living ecosystem.
Conceived as an outdoor living library, the landscape extends learning beyond the classroom — encouraging exploration, observation, and a deeper awareness of ecological systems.
