Gold – Design & Build (Residential)

This Design & Build project is a 2-storey Good Class Bungalow with a basement. The landscape is thoughtfully designed to create a modern tropical living environment, incorporating lush planting as a natural privacy barrier while maintaining a clean, contemporary aesthetic. A diverse palette of textural plants defines distinct garden spaces, creating a sequence of curated outdoor areas. Surrounded by greenery, the home is further enhanced by vertical and roof gardens, reinforcing its lush yet refined character. Located at a prominent curved T-junction along Chancery Lane, the residence is embraced by its modern tropical landscape setting.

Main Entrance

The main entrance's extended green roof connects the landscape from the upper level through its teak wood ceiling to the ground level landscape in the most naturalistic form.

Driveway to Basement Carpark

A welcoming view guided & flanked by both left & right greenery with a combination of lush plantings & green walls that soften the hardscape element of the ramp that leads to the basement carpark. (Lots for at least 10 cars)

Lawn Area

The sand-based lawn area located at Level 1 is designed to drain within an hour after heavy rainfall. It serves as an open space for the family to enjoy views of the surrounding planting, while enhancing the owner’s privacy. The lawn also functions as an event space for private gatherings.

Swimming pool

The pocket planters breaks the linearity of the lap pool whilst segmenting the jacuzzi spa miniature pools in-between .

Feature Tree

The feature tree is the highlight of the landscape at Level 1. Sitting in the round planter off centered from the oval lightwell. The picturesque view from the basement is insta-worthy for the visitors.

Basement Green Terrace

Terraces of modern tropical landscape to spruce up the basement area bringing in diffused natural sunlight that compliments the granite stone cladded walls. Achieving the naturalistic theme requires an eye for curation, selection and knowledge of plants to ensure the whole planting palette thrives.

2nd Storey

The 2nd storey garden is planted with low-maintenance species, selected for their adaptability and ease of upkeep. The cascading form of the Phyllanthus Cochinchinensis softens the building’s facade edges.

Recreational Area

The curtain vine provide subtle screening and partitioning the open area by extending the sense of space beyond the recreational area. Partially shielding off the direct sun whilst providing more privacy to home owner. Sitting on the swing chair, owners get to enjoy the luxury of  the natural curtain softening the backdrop.
